Born in Southern Africa, Peter A. Smit moved with his family to New York City, where his father held a corporate role in Manhattan. He was raised in Scarsdale, a prestigious suburb known for its excellent schools and diverse community. Summers were spent exploring Europe, South Africa, and Australia, nurturing his love for history, culture, and nature.
About The Author
PETER A. SMIT
Peter’s academic journey led him to Florida, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and English, followed by a master’s in biological sciences. He later completed a doctorate in healthcare management and leadership at a premier U.S. public health program, with specialized training in infectious diseases.
With a distinguished 37-year career in pharmaceutical research and development, Peter retired as Director of Medical Affairs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he embarked on a new path as a novelist, publishing two compelling fiction works: Life Will Never Be the Same Again and The Mystery at Los Panos, both available on Amazon.
